Hi there, my name is Mason Dorsett and I own RacPlaques.

First I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit and look around. The pace of life today often makes it hard to find time to do all you want to do.  The fact that you took some of that free time to visit RacPlaques is not lost on me and it is appreciated.

A little about me.

I hunt therefore I am!  I am an avid hunter and have been almost as long as I can remember.

I am 37 years old and a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC (YES that is the same Appalachian that downed Michigan in the Big House on Sept 1, 2007)  Originally from Efland, NC, I now live in Wake County just north of Raleigh and west of Wake Forest with my wife, Jennifer, and our two children, Abby and Connor.

I started working wood while in college and have enjoyed it as a hobby ever since.  I enjoy the time I spend in my small backyard shop.  As luck would have it my passion for hunting and love of wood working crossed paths when my dad, brother and I started preparing our own European Skull mounts.  Once complete we said "that looks nice now what???"  A display panel was in order and so it began.  Asking for others opinions I quickly discovered two things: 1) Everyone liked something different 2) Most knew of no way to get exactly what they wanted.  So I decided it was time to give the world the option.

When not in the shop I spend my time volunteering as a Captain in the local fire department, Hunting, playing golf or ice hockey, or just hanging around with the kids.
